OVERVIEW
The conference is being held on the main campus of The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College, which is located in Brownsville, Texas at 80 Fort Brown, between International Boulevard and Ringgold Road and between Ridgely Road and Gorgas Road, approximately 300 yards from the US/Mexico border.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Air
Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately 15 minutes' drive from the UTB/TSC campus, offers connecting service through Houston on Continental and Continental Express. Futher airline and connection options are available through Harlingen (HRL; 30 miles away) or McAllen (MFE; 60 miles away). Visitors from Mexico may wish to fly into Matamoros (MAM).
Ground
Brownsville is accessible via US routes 77 and 83, which merge in Harlingen. Distance is 165 miles South on route 77 from Corpus Christi or 200 miles East on route 83 from Laredo. You can get customized driving directions to UTB/TSC from Yahoo! or Mapquest.
PARKING INFORMATION
During the conference, campus lot G-9, at the end of East 24th Street, near the corner of Jackson Street, will be available for conference participant parking. This is the lower of the two lots labelled 'A' in the lower right-hand corner of the UTB/TSC Campus Map.
TEXT DIRECTIONS
- From Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport
- Take Billy Mitchell Drive away from the airport
- After approximately a mile and a half, Billy Mitchell will end at Boca Chica Boulevard (Texas route 4); make a shallow left turn onto Boca Chica
- After just under one mile, Boca Chica will intersect with International Boulevard and Route 4 will intersect with Route 48; turn left onto International (which means remaining on Route 4)
- After a mile and a half, International will pass under the main highway (US 77/83); about seven blocks later, there will be a McDonald's on your left; the left turn immediately before the McDonald's is Jackson Street, and the left turn immediately after it is Ridgely Road.
- From the North
- Take US Highway 77/83 South until the exit for International Boulevard/Texas Route 4.
- At the bottom of the on-ramp, turn right onto International Boulevard.
- About seven blocks down International, there will be a McDonald's on your left; the left turn immediately before the McDonald's is Jackson Street, and the left turn immediately after it is Ridgely Road.
- From International Blvd. to the Conference Site (for taxi/shuttle passengers)
- Turn left onto Ridgely Road (immediately after the McDonald's) and proceed down Ridgely Road until it curves around to the right and becomes Ringgold Road; the Science, Engineering and Technology Building (SET-B) is on the corner of Ridgely and Ringgold.
- From International Blvd. to the G-9 Parking Lot (for drivers needing to park)
- Turn left onto Jackson Street (immediately before the McDonald's) and proceed down Jackson until you see a Dead End sign on the corner of 24th & Jackson. Turn right on 24th street, which will go one block before ending in UTB/TSC's G-9 Parking Lot. Park anywhere in the lot and walk approximately 150 yards back to Ringgold Road; the Science, Engineering and Technology Building (SET-B) is just across the street.
