Circus Si! Tu puedes ser un cientifico! (Yes, you can be a Scientist!)
The UTB/TSC Physics Circus is celebrating the 2005 World Year of Physics with their presentation Si! Tu Puedes ser un Cientifico! The show lasts approximately 45 minutes. The presenters do a host of experiments, illustrating such concepts as properties of matter, energy, forces, and motion all in the spirit of humor and fun. There is no prior knowledge needed in any of these areas. Students will find the fun and excitement in physics, and find out that they can become scientists.
Auditorium Presentations This high energy auditorium science show is geared towards middle school students. The show is centered around the Texas core curriculum themes of (i) properties of matter and energy, and (ii) forces and motion, while giving students direct knowledge of local scientists.
Community Presentations The community presentations are geared for smaller audiences at community locations such as Boys and Girls clubs, libraries and museums. It is good science fun for the entire family. There is more interaction with participants.
We are hoping to bring the fun and excitement of science to the valley and the border areas. For more information or to schedule a show, contact Adrienne Rodriguez-Zermeno at Adrienne.Zermeno@utb.edu or (956) 882-6684.
